If you are a descendant of the DRESBACH / DREISBACH family, you will be pleased to learn that there is a
In October, 1995, thanks to the planning of Father Charles Dreisbach, a DRESBACH / DREISBACH Family Reunion was held at Kreidersville, PA, with a turnout of approximately 170 family members. At that Reunion the decision was made to form the Family Association and to schedule a reunion every three years. Officers were elected and President Bill Dreisbach was off and running to plan the second reunion. In the three-year time span much was accomplished by members of the Association. A limited edition of "The Dreisbach Book" (377 pgs.) was published due to the enthusiastic work of President Bill, Rev. Charles V. Dreisbach, Ardis Grosjean Dreisbach, and Bruce Jack Dreisbach. The book details what is known about our early ancestors and contains numerous descendant charts of families. A trip to Germany was taken by several members of the Association. During their stay their historical and genealogical research was enhanced by Wittgenstein historian, Gustav Schneider. With his diligence, more records were pieced together and our family now has a more complete picture of the early Dreisbach family. Click here to view an excerpt from The Dreisbach Book.
The second reunion was held on June 27 & 28, 1998, in Chillicothe, Ross Co., OH, with approximately 120 family members in attendance at least one of the two days. A new committee volunteered and it was decided to hold Reunion 2001 in Kreidersville, PA.
